some tips on windows

shaking a window in windows 7 minimises all other windows except the one that was shaken

win+1 to switch to first app on the task bar
win+2 ...

win+D to show desktop

win+m minimises all windows

win+ arrow keys to snap current window

win+shift +arrowkeys to shift to move the entire window to another monitor
