solve by substitution method

sqrt(2)x +sqrt(3)y =0

sqrt(3)x -sqrt(8)y =0

 

 sqrt(2)x +sqrt(3)y =0 -------------------(1)

sqrt(3)x -sqrt(8)y =0------------------(2)

 

using (2)

sqrt(3)x -sqrt(8)y=0

sqrt(3)x = sqrt(8)y

x = [sqrt(8) y] /[sqrt(3)]------------------(3)

 

using (3)  in (1)

sqrt(2){ [sqrt(8) y] /[sqrt(3)] } + sqrt(3)y =0

[  { [sqrt(16) y] /[sqrt(3)] } + sqrt(3)y =0 ]  *sqrt(3) 

to get rid of fractions

and use sqrt(16)=4

4y  + 3y =0

7y=0

y=0

use in (3)

x =0


x=0, y=0

(3x/2)-(5y/3)=(-2)----------------------(1) *6

(x/3)+(y/2)=(13/6)--------------------(2)

to get rid of the fraction

9x -10y = (-12) 

9x = 10y-12

use (3) in (2)

[ { [10y-12]/9}/ 3 ] +(y/2)=(13/6)

 {  [(10y-12)/27] + (y/2)=(13/6) } *54 to 

2(10y-12) +27y =13*9

20y-24 +27y =117

47y=117+24

47y=141

y=141/47

y=3

x = [10y-12]/9  

x =[ 10(3)-12 ] / 9
